The Rotary Club of Stuart is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser from August 15, 2026 through October 31, 2026 to raise funds for CART. The Rotary Club of Stuart will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected, as Funds2Orgs will issue a check for the collected shoes. Those dollars will directly benefit CART. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used and new shoes at:

Town Office of Stuart, 100 Patrick Avenue, Stuart

Patrick County Library, 116 W. Blue Ridge Street, Stuart

Tony’s Pizza & Pub, 402 Patrick Avenue, Stuart

More collection sites to be added. Check the Rotary Club of Stuart Facebook page for details.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are then used to feed, clothe and house their families.

“We are excited about our shoe drive,” said Amy Nash, CART Chair for Rotary Club of Stuart. “We know that most people have unworn shoes in their closets and by donating to our shoe drive, we raise money for CART, and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to the Rotary Club of Stuart, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives around the world.

Rotary is an international network of over 1.4 million people who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe. The Stuart Rotary Club, https://stuartrotary.com/, is one of 46,000 clubs worldwide and we are a very active group of community members and business leaders who focus on service above self by making a positive difference in our community. CART (Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1995 by fellow Rotarian, Roger Ackerman. Every penny raised goes directly to research on Alzheimer’s Disease.
