Beginning on May 16, the Route 58 project that travels through Carroll, Floyd and Patrick counties will have a change in traffic pattern as paving operations continue, weather permitting.
On May 16, traffic on Route 58 traveling east from 5.6 miles west of the intersection of Route 58 and Route 600 will be switched onto the newly constructed two lanes of eastbound Route 58. The new two lanes of eastbound Route 58 will tie into the existing two eastbound lanes of Route 58 that were constructed when Route 58 was previously widened to a four lane roadway. Traffic traveling west will not be affected and will continue on the current traffic pattern.
Drivers should use caution as paving operations will be ongoing in the area with intermittent lane closures and additional traffic pattern changes.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and to use caution as they travel through the work zone.
