Members from the Ruritan clubs in Patrick County participated in a “Rudy Bear Drop” last week at Stuart Community Hospital.
“Rudy” is the official mascot of Ruritan, and the teddy bear can bring joy to patients who need some comfort during a difficult time, such as in a hospital setting. 35 bears were donated to Stuart Community Hospital during National Hospital Week. The Stuart Ruritan club also donated some ‘goodies’ to the staff to show appreciation for their dedication. Staff was celebrating ‘decades day’ when Ruritan swept thru and pictured is HR Director Shannon Wagoner with Stuart Ruritan member Stephanie Keith.Meadows of Dan President Aaron Shelor posed with Kevin Smith and Shannon WagonerSCH RN Brooke Hylton, Pamela Smith, representing Ararat Ruritan Club, SCH RN Amber Smith and Kevin Smith, representing Woolwine Community Ruritan Club displaying Rudy Bears.
