The Patrick Springs Ruritan Club during its regular September meeting presented two members with special awards.

District Governor Charlie Bowman presented Bob Pendleton with Ruritan National High Honor “The Tom Downing Fellow.”

The award is reserved for long distinguished community service and goodwill. Bob was presented with his 50-year pin at a previous meeting. He has served faithfully to his church, lead chairman to acquire a grant for development of Patrick Springs Recreation Park, actively serving Gideon’s for many years, and his country as an MP. Bob has a lifetime of faithful service.

Vice President Kenneth Reynolds presented Ronnie Mabe an award commemorating 50 years of continuous service to his community.

Bowman also honored Ronnie with a Ruritan National High Award “Tom Downing Fellow.” Downing was a co-founder of Ruritan National in 1928.
