The Stokes County Arts Council will sponsor hand-woven beading classes at the Stokes County Community Services Building, 700 N Main Street, Danbury, N.C.
The six-week series will begin Saturday, February 6 and continue each Saturday through March 12. Additionally, classes in the series will be taught on Wednesday evenings beginning February 17 for six weeks with course offerings coinciding with the classes taught on Saturday.
Classes will be taught by beading artist Carol Carrol. Saturday classes will be taught from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday classes will be taught from 6 to 8 p.m. Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Individual class registration is $25 per session or $150 for the six-week session, and all materials are included in the registration fee. The suggested targeted group is ages 14 and up.
Classes will cover: right angle weave, first peyote stitch class, spiral bracelet, second peyote stitch, triangle earrings and a star ornament.
Pre-Registration is limited to ten participants; however, consideration may be given to group registration.
