Concerts in the Mountain Music Center amphitheater will resume in August with a revised lineup of performers. These shows will feature fantastic musicians and groups, including High Fidelity, Amythyst Kiah, Chatham Rabbits, Becky Buller Bluegrass Band, and Bill and the Belles, among others.

Unfortunately, concerts featuring the Old Crow Medicine Show, Steep Canyon Rangers, Tuba Skinny, and Abigail Washburn & Wu Fei are canceled.

Emails will be sent with additional details about this change for these concerts and season pass holders. We know this update is disappointing, but with many venues throughout the country closed, and most music festivals canceled, it is not financially feasible for some performers to travel for single performances.

The new concert schedule for Saturday shows is:

August 1: High Fidelity + New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters / $15

August 8: Amythyst Kiah + Shay Martin Lovette / $20

August 15: Chatham Rabbits + To Be Announced / $20

August 22: Becky Buller Bluegrass Band + Luke Morris & Madison Elmore / $20

August 29: Bill and the Belles + Dori Freeman / $15

Shows begin at 7 p.m.

Advance tickets for these concerts will not be sold. Tickets will only be available for purchase at the gate the night of the show. Payment by credit cards is encouraged to minimize the handling of cash.

“If circumstances change, we will reassess whether to host these concerts in order to keep everyone safe,” organizers said.

New safety guidelines for concertgoers:

Our first priority is the safety of our patrons, visiting musicians, volunteers, and staff. We are taking several precautions during our concerts to make the experience as safe as possible. If you have a fever, cough, aches and pains, loss of smell or taste, difficulty breathing, etc., or if you are sneezing and coughing, please stay at home.

We ask that everyone attending a concert maintains six feet of distance between groups throughout the evening, including when standing in line and when selecting seating location in the amphitheater; when in high traffic areas (such as the bridge between the concert area and restrooms) wearing a mask is required to protect your fellow concertgoers; hand sanitizing stations, located conveniently near the admission gate, are for use when entering or leaving the concert area. Arriving early to allow extra time to get into the amphitheater is suggested.

Canceled concert information

Tickets

Refunds must be processed directly through Brown Paper Tickets. To request a refund, email refunds@brownpapertickets.com, and include the concert location (Blue Ridge Music Center), concert date, name of the band, number of tickets to be refunded, and the name and e-mail used for the original purchase.

Season Passes

There are 5 concerts on the summer schedule. Full season, half season, and Pick 3 pass holders have the following options: Keep your passes and use them for our August concerts, and consider the unused portion of your pass as a donation to the nonprofit Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation in support of programming at the Music Center; transfer your passes to the 2021 season, or

receive a refund.

To transfer passes to next year or receive a refund, mail 2020 pass by July 27, along with a note indicating which option you are requesting to Blue Ridge Music Center, 717 S. Marshall St., Ste 105-B, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101.

If a refund is requested, include the last 4 digits of the credit card used to purchase the passes so the transaction can be reversed.

Email Marianne Kovatch at mkovatch@brpfoundation.org. for additional information.
