Patrick County will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 13, at 7 p.m. at the Patrick County Veterans Memorial building, third floor boardroom, at 106 Rucker Street, to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Dept. of Housing and Community Development for Meadows of  Dan Revitalization Project.

Residents in the project area are encouraged to attend. The Meadows of Dan Revitalization Project proposal includes the design and construction of a sewer system to serve the Meadows of Dan community.

The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment, along with information on projected beneficiaries – including the number of low- to moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project – and plans to minimize displacement.

Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on Patrick County’s past use of CDBG funds.

A fact sheet on the proposed project and the draft proposal is available at Patrick County Veterans Memorial building, County Administration, Suite 218. For additional information, contact Tom Rose, County Administrator, at (276) 694 6094.

Comments and grievances can be submitted in writing by March 8 to Tom Rose, County Administrator, P.O. Box 466, Stuart, Va., or by phone at (276) 694-6094.

Those who plan to attend and have any special needs requirements, please call the number above.
