Five high school seniors participated in Bank Day at River Community Bank, NA, on Tuesday, March 15.
Bank Day is a statewide effort sponsored by the Virginia Bankers Association Education Foundation and the Virginia Bankers Association Leadership Division. Students were able to experience a day in the life of a banker.
From their experience, they gained knowledge in various bank departments and how they work together to render services to its customers. Most importantly, the students developed a better understanding of a bank’s involvement and the role it plays in the community.
From their experience, the students will submit an essay for the opportunity to receive scholarship funds for further education.
