Miss Sharon Renee Vaughn, age 55 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 13, 2024. She was born in Patrick County on May 19, 1969. She was preceded in death by her father, Moir Ray Vaughn. Sharon was a registered nurse in the home health setting. She previously worked at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Her love for taking care of children was unmatched. She enjoyed crocheting and being with her family. Sharon was a loving daughter, caring sister, adoring aunt, and great-aunt.
Left to cherish the memories of Sharon are her mother, Eva Haden Vaughn of Stuart; one brother, Tim Vaughn of Martinsville; one niece, Claire Shumate (Austin) Bassett; one nephew, Matthew Vaughn (Gabriella) of Martinsville; one great-nephew, Liam; and one great-niece, Stella.
The funeral service for Miss Vaughn will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Les Croft and Pastor Ronald Deskins officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Thursday morning.
