Sheriff reports arrests

Sheriff Dan Smith reported the following arrests:
Kimberly Dawn Howell, 44, of Stuart, was arrested May 24 on a charge of substituting a sample for a drug/alcohol screening test.
Deputy J.G. Pickerel made the arrest for the city of Martinsville.
Ramon Wooden, 33, of Martinsville, was arrested May 25 on two counts of assault and battery.
Deputy Oscar Tejeda made the arrest.
Chelsea M. Azbell, 20, of Mount Airy, N.C., was arrested May 26 on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Lt. R.S. Coleman made the arrest.
Richard Lee Byrd, 35, of Patrick Springs, was arrested May 25 on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Deputy S.R. Keffer made the arrest.
Lloyd Melvin Marshall, 70, of Stuart, was arrested May 25 on a capias for failure to appear in court.
Deputy J.W. Kruse made the arrest.
Jennifer Dawn Riddle, 35, of Patrick Springs, was arrested May 23 on a charge of shoplifting.
Deputy Margie Stowe made the arrest.
James Russell Smith, 45, of Ararat, was arrested May 23 on a charge of assault and battery.
Deputy Winfred Hill made the arrest.
