Mrs. Shirley Vidia Goins Clark, age 83 of Stuart, Virginia passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born in Patrick County on September 15, 1941, to the late Chester Allen Goins and Minnie Sawyer Goins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Goins. Shirley never met a stranger and with her endearing nature, she made friends with everyone she met. The gift of her smile will be forever remembered.
Left to cherish the memories of Shirley is her beloved husband of 62 years, John David Clark of the home; two children, Joel David Clark ( Kellianne) of New Kent, VA and Cheryl Clark Barker (Kevin) of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Nathan Mann, Laura Audrey Clark, and Jacob Clark Barker; nine siblings, Gerline Doby of Kernersville, NC, Lottie Fulp of Walkertown, NC, Christine Coalson (Roy) of Low Gap, NC, Judy Niten of Ararat, VA, Teresa Boyd (Tommy)of Mt. Airy, NC, Teddy Goins (Wanda) of Mt. Airy, NC, Troy Goins of Ararat, VA, Larry Goins (Karen) of Ararat, VA, and Betty Roberson of Henderson, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, and special caregiver, Jeanette Fulp of Stuart, VA.
The funeral for Mrs. Clark will be held at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Smith and Chaplin Robbie Vance officiating. The burial will immediately follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday morning at the funeral home.
