The Patrick County Middle School Softball team improved their record to 8-4 on the year and are on a five-game winning streak.
Last week they defeated Piney Grove Middle School 5-2. McKenzie Holt got the win in the circle striking out 19 batters and giving up only one hit. Holt and Lauren Fulcher led the way with two hits each.
On Tuesday, the Lady Cougars defeated Laurel Park 16-6. Kursten Hylton and Kylee Joyce combined in the circle to get the win. Emma Nickelston had three hits and Lauren Worley, Alexis Knight, and Hylton each had two hits.
On Wednesday, the Lady Cougars defeated Fieldale-Collinsville 8-3.
Holt had a no-hitter, striking out 17 batters in the victory. Autumn Heath had three hits, and Holt and Maria Turner each had two hits.
