The Lady Cougars opened the season with an 8- 4 home win over Dan River High School on Monday, March 11. Journey Moore got the win in the circle, going 5 1/3 innings, striking out 7 and allowing 2 earned runs. McKenzie Holt finished the last 1 2/3 inning, striking out 4. Lauren Fulcher, Moore, and Holt had 2 hits each. Bryley Pike scored 3 times with 3 stolen bases on the night.Â
