The Patrick County Varsity Lady Cougars took a 7-6 loss to Tunstall on May 4 in Dry Fork.
Abigail Epperson went 3 for 3, with 2 doubles, 1 homerun, and 3 RBI’s.
Lauren Fulcher went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Danielle King and Gracelyn Hubbard had 2 hits each. Brooke Meade pitched 4 innings and Katherine Beckett pitched 2 innings in the loss. On May 6, the Lady Cougars hosted Halifax, losing 2-7.
Epperson went the distance in the circle, throwing 7 strikeouts in the loss. Meade had 2 hits and scored one of the runs for the Cougars. Danielle King had 1 RBI.
