Sovah Health welcomes first babies of 2019

Weighing 7 pounds and 11 ounces and measuring 20 inches, Nailah Jamilah was born at Sovah Health – Martinsville to proud parents Miracle and Edgar, Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 4:02 p.m.

“We are so excited to meet our new baby girl,” said Miracle. “The physicians, nurses and staff here in Martinsville all helped to make this such a special and memorable experience for us, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care our family received.”

Danville’s first baby Parker Daniel arrived several hours later on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 12:24 a.m. to first-time parents Kristin and Matt. Born at Sovah Health – Danville’s Family Birthing Center, Parker weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces and measured 20 inches long.

“Dr. Newell and the team here in Danville were amazing,” said Kristin.
