Girls Score Win over Radford
The Girls Varsity Basketball Team traveled to Radford High on Monday, January 30. After a hard-fought, close game, the Lady Cougars came out on top 39-31. Kimora Wimbush led PC with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist. Missy Hazard had 10 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Allanah Mitchell added 8 points, 3 steals, and 3 rebounds.
“It was a good win for our kids,” said Coach Donny Rakes. “We were down 2 starters with illness and injuries, but we still found a way to get out of there with a win. We were sloppy at times with the ball, but really played great defense in the 4th quarter. That was the difference in a close ballgame.”

They are the #3 ranked team in the state. It looks like we will be on the road for our district tournament, but there is a good chance we will host a 1st round Region 2C tournament game Friday the 17th.”
