Stuart Fire Department will hold its 4th Annual Stop, Drop, & Run 5K on Saturday.

The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the department’s new fire station on Wood Brothers Drive in Stuart.

The marked course through Historic Uptown Stuart will include a Stair Climb in the Patrick County Administration Building on Rucker Street in Stuart.

The Stair Climb commemorates the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

Registration is $25, and will be held onsite until 7:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The race begins at 8 a.m.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the building fund for the new station that will be located in the former Food Lion Building.

Participants, spectators and other attendees are invited to see the new space while supporting local firefighters.
