During Patrick County High School’s Annual Senior Awards Ceremony on May 14, senior Mitchell “Glenn” Stovall was honored with the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Citizenship Award.
Presented by Ann McConnell, Regent of the Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR, the award recognizes students who exemplify honor, service, courage, leadership, and patriotism. Glenn received a DAR medal, certificate, engraved Jefferson Cup, and a $100 award in recognition of his accomplishments.
Throughout high school, Glenn maintained all A’s and B’s while competing as a three-season athlete. He served as senior class president and was actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Praise & Worship Team. Outside of school, Glenn contributes to his family’s farm and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in December 2025 through Boy Scout Troop 69.
For his Eagle Scout project, Glenn designed and built flag retirement boxes placed throughout Patrick County Public Schools and local businesses, providing the community with a respectful way to retire worn American flags.
Patrick County High School proudly congratulates Glenn Stovall on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his outstanding service to both school and community.
