The 43rd annual Stuart Beach Music Festival is set to be held Thursday, June 12, through Saturday, June 14, at Wayside Park in Stuart.

Advance tickets to the Stuart Beach Music Festival can be purchased at various retail locations until June 6.

Advance tickets to the Stuart Beach Music Festival can be purchased at various retail locations until June 6.

Stuart Rotary Club member Wayne Kirkpatrick said beach music bands are invited to perform during the three-day event.

On Thursday, The Castaways will take the stage. The Part Time Party Band and Special Occasion Band will perform on Friday.

The Holiday Band, The North Tower, Gary Lowder and Smokin’ Hot!, and Jim Quick and Coastline are scheduled to perform all day Saturday. DJ What!, a local personality, will entertain the crowd between sets.

“On Thursday, the music runs from 6 p.m. to about 9 or 10, depending on how long the band wants to play. Again, on Friday, it runs on the same hours. Then on Saturday, we have more bands there, and that runs from noon to 11 p.m. or so,” Kirkpatrick said.

Kirkpatrick said many attendees camp at Wayside Park.

“We have a lot of people come in and stay for multiple days to enjoy the festival. There are groups of campers that meet there every year like a family reunion, and they just have a really good time for the three days of the festival,” he said.

Kirkpatrick said the event typically draws 2,700 to 2,900 people annually.

“We’re trying to get past 3,000 people” this year, he said.

Advance tickets are available through June 6. They can be purchased at Patrick County Tourism and select retail locations, including the Circle K stores in Patrick County, Martinsville, Ridgeway, Floyd, and Hillsville, as well as Olde Mill Music, Village Spa in Collinsville, and online at Eventbrite.

Regular tickets will still be available online and at the gate after June 6.

A new feature for campers this year is a shuttle bus service on Friday that will give visitors a chance to explore the county.

The shuttle will make stops in Downtown/Uptown Stuart, Lovers Leap, and Meadows of Dan.

There will be 10 round-trip shuttle runs, with scheduled stops throughout the day. Buses will not return for latecomers.
