Stuart Volunteer Fire Department’s (SVFD’s) first responder vehicle is back in EMS service.
Erica Cipko, secretary of the Patrick County Fire and Rescue Association and a lieutenant with SVFD, said the department was notified the license will be reinstated. It was recently rescinded when a faulty battery in a piece of equipment was found during a spot check by the state.
The issue is now corrected, and both of SVFD’s vehicles can now respond to EMS calls, Cipko said.
