Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) is holding FastPass enrollment on Thursday and Friday, December 1-2.
Those wanting to take classes next semester can complete an application, meet with an advisor, get assistance with financial aid, and/or register for fall semester in one trip. Drop in any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Center for New Students in the Walker building 228 on the Martinsville campus.
“Spring classes start January 5 and the campus is closed December 23 through January 2 so it’s critical that anyone wanting to take classes register now,” said Director of Enrollment Management Colin Ferguson. “These two days are the quick and timely option to get everything done before it’s too late.”
Fast Pass enrollment on December 1 and 2 provides a one-stop registration option for both returning and new students. Academic advisors, admissions, and financial aid personnel are devoting these two days to advising and registering for the spring semester.
Students applying to PHCC for the first time can be prepared for Fast Pass by applying for admission to the college either online or in person at the Walker Fine Arts Student Center and by taking the Virginia Placement Tests (VPT) in math and English. Advisors recommend taking the VPT over two days.
Students who do not already have financial assistance in place for spring should complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This online form may be completed with last year’s tax information. Students with questions about financial aid should call toll-free (855) 874-6692.
For those who cannot make it to campus during these times, registration is on-going until the end of the semester and students can see an advisor at any point to register. Both new and returning students can contact the advising center at advising@patrickhenry.edu or (276) 656-5482 for advising assistance.
