The Patrick County Board of Supervisors are set to take up several matters at their next meeting, including a presentation regarding a needs assessment by Chuck Kirby, vice president of broadband programs from the Center for Innovative Technology.

Warren Rogers, secretary of the Electoral Board, also will address the board regarding a Red Bank Ruritan Precinct, according to a copy of the agenda.

In other matters, supervisors also will consider:

  • Ratifying their vote to buy an ambulance;
  • Budget appropriations for fiscal 2019 as requested by Joan Rogers, director of the Patrick County Department of Social Services;
  • A heating and cooling (HVAC) project at a community center. The center was not identified in the agenda.

The board also is slated to meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters during their meeting on Monday, July 9 in the Patrick County Administration Building in Stuart. The meeting begins at 6 p.m.
