The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will meet on Monday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Building in Stuart.

The board is scheduled to hear updates about Personal Property Tax Relief Act (PPTRA), Food and Beverage Tax and Transient Occupancy Tax from Commissioner of Revenue Janet Rorrer and year end reports from Treasurer Sandra K. Stone.

The board also is expected to schedule a public hearing for Sept. 14 to solicit input on amending the current budget due to the coronavirus relief fund, and the county receiving more than 1 percent of the total budget.

The board also will hear updates on utility complaints and discuss the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo’s) Virtual Conference.

The board may meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters.

Public comments may be emailed to awalker@co.patrick.va.us or ghazelwood@co.patrick.va.us. The meeting will be live streamed on the Friends of Patrick County Tourism Facebook page and a call–in number, (276) 806-2837, will be available.
