The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will consider an amendment to the fiscal 2018-19 budget and discuss the school budget during their meeting on Monday, May 14.

A discussion of the Transient Occupancy Tax, that will include the county’s ordinance versus state law, is planned.

Alan Black, county attorney, will discuss a farm brewery permit.

Also on the agenda are Sandra Belcher, tourism director; and Sandra Stone, treasurer.

Supervisors also will consider a proposal by Lock Boyce, chairman and of the Mayo Rover District, to rename the Spoon Creek Bridge in honor of Army SP4 Frederick C. Bullington Jr., of Spencer. Bullington, 20, died in 1966, less than four months into his tour of duty in Vietnam.

The board is expected to meet in closed session to consider personnel, legal and contract matters, as well as real estate during their 6 p.m. meeting in the Patrick County Administration Building in Stuart.

A public hearing also will be held at 7 p.m. by the Virginia Department of Transportation on the county’s proposed Six Year Plan.
