The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will hold its reorganizational meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14 in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Building, 106 Rucker Street, in Stuart.

In addition to selecting a chairman and vice chairman for the upcoming year, the board also will consider adopting Robert’s Rules of Governance, a 2019 meeting schedule and committee appointments.

A presentation is scheduled because of the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office was re-accredited by the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission Board.

A public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. on a proposed change to the Exotic Animal Ordinance.  The proposed ordinance is available for review at the County Administration office, Suite 218.

The board also will consider a resolution to commemorate Cecil Byrd and issuing a Request for Proposals for the 2021 Patrick County Property Reassessment.

The board is scheduled to meet in closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters.
