That early resurrection morning over 2,000 years ago, when Jesus Christ came back to life, is the focal point of Christian celebrations. I will share with you the great news that on that glorious morning of Jesus’ triumphal victory over death, humanity gained hope of eternal life. For this reason, those who trust in Christ can have confidence in everyday life.
Because Jesus lives, we can face hardships, tribulations, and temptations with assurance that no matter the outcome, Christ will always be with us. We can see this truth expressed by Paul when he said, “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:55
Because Jesus lives, we can receive the pathway unto the Father that has been provided. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 11:25 We can face death and trials knowing we can turn to our Father in Heaven. Because Jesus lives, we can receive heaven and eternal life. The Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9. We can have all that God has prepared for us by simply surrendering our hearts to him. The Son of God has prepared for you to join him in a never ending adventure.
Early that Resurrection Sunday morning, people ran away from the empty tomb of Jesus as they were celebrating. You too can run into your future celebrating all that Jesus has done for you. Rejoice in the fact that Jesus lives and that he has prepared a way forward in your life. Gather up your family and join in a son rise service this Sunday.
Finally, let us join others by making this declaration our sincere prayer: That I may know Jesus, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Philippians 3:10 We can have a confident attitude in life no matter what is happening around us if Jesus abides in our life. Make this Easter holiday a special time for your family and friends by joining them in worship of the risen Savior. Because He lives you can too.
