Timothy “Timmy” Goad was born on October 29th, 1959 in Carroll County Virginia to the late David Preston and Viola Goad.

Timmy entered into his Heavenly Home on May 26th, 2021 to be with his parents; a sister Evelyn Goad and a brother Mark Ferguson.

He is survived by his loving daughters Jordan, her husband Randy Nunn, and Amy Harrell.

Barbara “Nannie Barb” Goad of Laurel Fork; Brother Jimmy and his wife Bonnie Goad of Laurel Fork, their children Emily and Elijah Goad, great-nephew Eli Goad; Sister Ramona Forrester of Hillsville; Brother Galen and his wife Samantha Goad of Galax and their sons Malachi, Macalister, Makray and Maverik Goad; Special friend whom he loved as his own daughter Keri McGee; Fiancé Sharon Wentzel and many more Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Special ‘Grandpup’ Roxy and Horse Susie who has been with the family for 25 years.

In his younger years, Timmy enjoyed playing sports including basketball and baseball, then grew to have a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.

He retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections and continued raising and training German Shorthaired Pointers and Tennessee Walking Horses with his daughter, Jordan, by his side.

While Timmy will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to know that he was more than prepared and eager to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had run his race and was ready to be offered up.

The family of Timmy Goad will forever be grateful to his many friends and loved ones who have been by his side. He never met a stranger and always had time for everyone and never failed to bring a smile to those around him with his bright sense of humor.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Goad Family. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com.
