As 2019 begins, Stuart town officials are poised to complete projects and perhaps select a few more.

Ray Weiland, Stuart mayor, said he is looking forward to the completion of a few projects in the town. Weiland said that the first project is the Stuart Volunteer Fire Department project that has been in the works. Near the end of 2018, town officials selected a bid from Clark Brothers Construction in Stuart, with the firm to complete the project at the soon-to-be location for the fire department.

Weiland said he also is looking forward to the completion is the sewer treatment project. With deteriorating equipment at the sewer plant, it is important to get things fixed to ensure the town meets pertinent requirements, he said.

Rebecca Adcock, vice mayor, echoed Weiland’s sentiments on the completion of both projects. Adcock said she also would like to see a new roof installed at the Farmer’s Market pavilion.
