Williams and Byers win their races; with Biedrycki and Hernandez in Top 5 overall

Both the boys and girls track teams competed in Hot Chocolate at the JDL Fast Track Indoor Track & Field in Winston Salem, N.C. last Friday, with many members of the team performing well in the 15 different events.
In the Men’s Shot Put, Ritchie Glenn finished 7th overall, with 35-feet 3 inches.
On the girls’ side, Molly Hernandez finished in 5th place, with 27-feet 3.5 inches.
In the Men’s 1,000 Meters Varsity, Jared Biedrycki finished 5th with a time of 2.54.93 and Vanessa Mabe finished 18th in her race with a time of 4.14.02.
Three Cougars finished in the top 20 in the 500 Meters Varsity — Burke Gonzalez had a time of 1.13.76 which was good for 6th place while teammates Brandon Rohrbach finished in 12th place with a time of 1.17.01 and Martin Morse was 16th with a time of 1.23.72.
In the 1600-Meters Race, Kristian Reynolds finished 9th with a time of 4.56.82.
In the 300-Meters Varsity Race, Luke Williams finished 11th with a time of 40.43 followed by teammate Nick Byers’ 13th place finish with a time of 41.33. Both Williams and Byers won their individual races.
The boys’ team finished in 11th place while the girls’ team finished 13th.
