The JEB Stuart Birthplace Preservation Trust, located at 1091 Ararat Highway, Ararat, and some of the Willis Gap Open Jam musicians were invited to participate in events held during National Travel and Tourism Week at the Patrick County Visitors Center, located at 126 N. Main St. Stuart.

Jesse Young (left to right), guitar; Dot ShikenJanski on bass; Ed Dalton, guitar, Dan ShikenJanski, fiddle;
Joe Andrews, banjo; Phil Lanier, mandolin.

The event was among many to highlight local history and create awareness of Laurel Hill Park, and to bring Appalachian music to locals and travelers.
