Patrick Henry Community College has announced that the new Workforce Credential Grant (WCG) will help pay tuition costs for select workforce training programs for Virginia residents. Students only pay 30% of the total cost.
How it works:
1. You pay 1/3 of the tuition when you register.
2. The Commonwealth of Virginia pays 1/3 when you complete the class.
3. The final 1/3 is paid by the Commonwealth of Virginia when you earn the credential.
Fall WCG programs include:
• Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), starts October 10; full price: $1,162.64, WCG price: $387.55;
• Electrical Groundsman Training, starts October 3; full price: $3,600, WCG price: $1,200;
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); full-time and part-time schedules available; full prince: $4,500, WCG price: $1,500.
Other financial assistance may be available to help pay for the student’s portion.
