MARTINSVILLE – Karen Parker of Martinsville and Brenda Peters of Bassett have joined the board of directors of the Patrick Henry Community College Foundation.

Parker is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Martinsville Speedway and has been with the track for 25 years. She served on the Martinsville and Henry County Chamber of Commerce board for four years and was chairman in 2015-2016. She currently serves on the Grace Network board of directors and is the treasurer of the PTO for Rich Acres Elementary School.

Peters is the Assistant Vice President of Business Development at Blue Ridge Bank in Martinsville and has more than 30 years of financial and banking experience. Peters, an alumnus of Patrick Henry Community College, is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the United Way of Henry County and Martinsville.

“We are excited to welcome these two new board members to the PHCC Foundation. Karen and Brenda bring unique skill sets to the board as the Foundation continues to secure resources for the college. I am looking forward to working with both of them,” Tiffani Underwood, interim foundation executive director, said.
