The Patrick County School Board is scheduled to meet Thursday, March 9, at the school board office in Stuart. There is a budget hearing at 4:30 p.m., followed by the regular school-board meeting at 5:30 p.m.

The Patrick County Economic Development Authority is scheduled to meet Thursday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building in Stuart.

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet Monday, March 13, starting at 6 p.m., in the third-floor boardroom of the Patrick County Veteran’s Memorial Building. Items on the agenda include a discussion of the county budget, establishment of a tax rate, a resolution regarding the Bob White Covered Bridge, and the possibility of moving the recycling trailer currently located at Rotary Field.

At 7 p.m., the board will host a public hearing regarding a Community Development Block Grant proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Dept. of Housing and Community Development for the Meadows of Dan Revitalization Project. The grant is being sought to cover the cost of designing and constructing a sewer system to serve part of the Meadows of Dan community.

All Board of Supervisors meetings include a public comment period during which members of the Patrick County community are invited and welcome to address board members with questions or concerns about local government matters.
The Patrick County Tourism Advisory Council is scheduled to meet Thursday, March 16, at 7 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Veteran’s Memorial Building.
