The Cougar Varsity Baseball Team hosted Dan River Thursday, April 28.
Patrick County got a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.
Stuart Callahan got the start on the mound picking up the win. Callahan went 4 innings, striking out 5, walking 1, allowing 1 hit and 1 run.
Jai Penn threw a solid 5th and 6th giving up 0 runs.
Tucker Swails took the mound in the 7th with the 3 out save. Swails led the Cougars at the plate going 2-3 with his 4th home run of the year.
Martin Sawyers added a big RBI single, and Jackson Horton and Callahan also added a base hit each.
The team was back in action Tuesday during Senior Night.
