The Varsity Baseball Team lost 6-11 to the Magna Vista Warriors on Tuesday, April 23. The Cougars got behind early and were unable to mount a comeback.
Magna Vista scored four in the top of the first and never looked back.
“Colby Vernon got the start on the mound and battled but didn’t have his best stuff. He was relieved by a combination of guys but we really struggled on the mound all day giving up 11 runs on 14 hits, walking seven,” said Coach Tal Swails.
Offensively, Patrick County picked up eight hits led by Jacob Mullis and McCray Sawyers, both collecting two hits.
