Varsity Girls Soccer Season Update

Kendall Williams takes it in for a goal.

The Girls Varsity Soccer Team is 6-4-4 on the season at this point. They started the season on March 13 with a 0-0 tie with North Stokes.  PCHS had 27 shots on goal, and Skye Ayers had 15 saves in the goal.  March 13, the Lady Cougars tied 0-0 with Dan River.  Ayers had 22 saves in the goal.  PC tied Dan River again, 1-1, on March 20. Macy Hall scored for the Cougars, and Ayers had 3 saves. The Lady Cougars took on Tunstall March 29, ending in a 1-1 tie.  Chloie Wright scored for the Cougars in one of the 10 team shots on goal.  Ayers had 14 saves in the box.  The Lady Cougars got a 5-0 win over GW Danville April 3, where they had 41 shots on goal.  Wright and Kendall Williams had 2 goals each.  Jewel Iacovone had 1 goal, and Ayers saved 4.  PC had a big 2-1 win over the Lady Bengals of Bassett, April 11.  There were 27 team shots on goal.  Wright and Williams had 1 goal each while Ayers had 14 saves.  The Cougars defeated Martinsville, 3-0, April 12.  Hall had 2 goals, while Iavovone added 1.  Ayers had 14 saves.  The Lady Cougars suffered an 0-8 loss to Magna Vista, April 17.  PCHS had 3 shots on goal while Ayers had 11 saves. On April 18, the Cougars took a 0-2 loss to Halifax.  Ayers had 10 saves.  The Lady Cougars got another Bassett win on April 21, with a score of 1-0.  Williams scored for the Cougars, and Ayers had 8 saves. PC fell to Tunstall, 2-4, on April 25.  Chloie Wright and Cindy Leon-Cisneros scored for the Cougars.  Ayers had 5 saves in the goal.  The Cougars got another win over GW, May 2, with a score of 4-1. Williams had 2 goals and Hall and Jayden Diehl had one goal each. Ayers had 12 saves. The Lady Cougars got revenge on the Lady Comets of Halifax with a 2-1 win on May 3.  Hall scored 1 goal on an Iacovone assist, and Williams scored on an assist by Elizabeth Rose.  Ayers had 10 saves.  

On May3, PCHS played Halifax. The Cougars won 2-1. PCHS has 13 shots on goal. Macy Hall was assisted by Jewel Iacovone and Kendall Williams was assisted by Elizabeth Rose. Skye Ayers had 10 saves in goal.
