Varsity Lady Cougars win two, lose one

Samantha Harris had two home runs in a recent game.

The Lady Cougars traveled to Tunstall Tuesday, March 29, losing 7-10. 

Brooke Meade took the loss on the mound. Abigail Epperson came in during the first inning to pitch in relief. Epperson had 14 strikeouts on the night. 

The Cougars outhit the Trojans 10 to 7, but 7 errors were the downfall for the Cougars. 

Epperson went 2 for 3 with a home run, and Lauren Fulcher had 3 hits for the Cougars. 

On Saturday, April 2, the Lady Cougars went 1 and 1 in the Battle of the Bases in Rocky Mount. The Cougars struggled defensively in the first game, losing 2-9 to Stanton River. 

Epperson took the loss in the circle. The Cougars only managed 2 RBIs in the game. 

In game two, the Cougars defeated Chestnut Ridge from Pennsylvania 10-3. Epperson got the win, giving up 0 earned runs and striking out 5. 

Samantha Harris had a huge game going 4 for 4 with 2 homeruns and 4 RBIs. 

Epperson had 2 hits with a homerun and Meade, Lauren Fulcher, and Madison Greer each had hits in the win.
