Ms. Velda Delois Brammer, age 88 of Woolwine, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her home. She was born in Patrick County on September 6, 1934, to the late Nelson “Candyman” Brammer and Hattie Harris Brammer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, James Hooker Willard; three brothers, Russell, Robert, and Ralph Brammer; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy Brammer and Nancy Brammer. Velda was a longtime member of Woolwine United Methodist Church. She had a wonderful personality and never met a stranger.

Surviving is a sister-in-law, Frankie Brammer of Woolwine; nieces and nephews, Angie Brammer, Teresa and Tony Edwards, Dennis and Vicky Brammer, Keith and Mary Lou Brammer, Mark Brammer; and several cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Woolwine United Methodist Church with Pastor David Gaylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Woolwine Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woolwine United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 74, Woolwine, VA 24185 or to Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 138, Woolwine, VA 24185. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
