Andre Kidd was among the speakers Friday during the Veterans Day Assembly at Patrick County High School. Kidd, who also is a veteran, said service members “come from all walks of life” answering the call of “a cause greater than themselves … Ordinary people who responded in extraordinary ways … Millions of Americans have fought and died. Even as we lose troops, more are stepping up to say, ‘I am ready to serve.’ Whether you served one or 30 years, thank you.” Kidd also performed “God Bless the U.S.A.” at the ceremony.
