Virgie Ellen Cassady, 79, of Stuart, died on Monday May 23, 2016, at her home.]
She was born December 28, 1936 and was a daughter of the late Elethe Barnard and Herbert Henry Harris. She was also receded in death by her husband; Elmo Cassady, a sister; Jesse Harris; three brothers; Early Harris, Walter Harris and Jack Harris,two half brothers; Willie Harris and Lloyd Harris, five nieces and seven nephews. She worked at Bassett Walker in Stuart and lived and worked on a farm for 15 years. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are one sister; Minnie Harris of Stuart, and a loving boyfriend for many years, Pete Law of Stuart.. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Norris Funeral Services Chapel in Stuart with the Reverend David Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Harris Family Cemetery in Patrick Springs. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from to 2 p.m. at Norris funeral Services Chapel and other times at the home.
