Mrs. Virginia Paulene Pack Watkins passed away, Saturday, August 24, 2019, at her home.
She was married on December 12, 1940, to the late David Johnathon Watkins, Sr. They have five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; and two daughters, Pamela Temko and Barbie Schofield; her parents, Bob Pack and Correna Lewis Pack; and twelve brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her son, David Watkins, Jr., and wife, Linda (who dedicated several years caring for Virginia and brought her to their home many months to ensure she had exemplary care for the remainder of her life.) A special thank you to Linda for her selflessness and love she gave to our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She also leaves behind her daughter, Beverly Pack, and her husband, James. (Bev was not only her firstborn but a very close friend, they shared a special bond and many extraordinary adventures). Also left behind was her wayward daughter, Angela Davis, and husband, Bob, who were with her in her final moments. Bob knew how much she loved her furry friends, so he picked up Moxy for a little kiss; it would be the last kiss she ever received. Virginia has 14 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to acknowledge the hospice team, who were invaluable to our mom and our whole family. Donations can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 18981 Jeb Stuart Highway, Stuart, Va. 24171. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
