Scorecard: Trump vs. working people

President Donald Trump’s cabinet has the same number of white guys in it as Reagan’s—37 years ago. So much for differing viewpoints brought on by diversity. So far Trump’s cabinet is over four times richer than Obama’s. A fun graphic showing the worth of Trump’s cabinet compared to others is at:

Swamp draining anyone?
You thought Obama and Hillary were “rich elite?” Obama’s worth is estimated at $11.8 million, the Clinton’s at $45 million. Together that is $56.8 million. Trump is worth $3.7 billion, making him 65 times richer than the Clintons and Obamas together.
Clinton and Obama were raised in the middle class. Even Hitler was born poor. Trump has never walked a day in your shoes.
First presidential act: reverse a program that helped first-time low income homebuyers. Now they get to pay more.
Up next: he wants to end “net neutrality” so that your internet will be slower unless you can pay more.
Up after that: he will repeal Obamacare (ACA—yes, they are the same) without replacing it for a couple of years possibly? That’s okay if you are independently wealthy. Of course since Virginia is Republican run and never accepted subsidies, there won’t be much change here. Most of us poor folk will continue not to have insurance and just use the emergency room and run up astronomical bills.
Since he is Republican, you can bet there will be no raising of the minimum wage.

PAWS needs money

The Patrick Animal Welfare Society Inc. (PAWS) 501c3 is running out of money and may have to discontinue the Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP).
PAWS operates on private donations only and has exhausted any grant money years ago. We are very grateful to all our donors who have given so generously through the years. We have spent over $18,000.00 to spay or neuter 177 private pets in the last three years with only private donation money.
The money is almost gone and PAWS is in danger of discontinuing the SNAP program and in danger of dissolving the group due to lack of interest and money. It would be nice if everyone who has taken advantage of the free spay or neuter provided to them would send a $25 donation or any amount to help keep us going.
All of our money goes to spay or neuter Patrick County citizens’ pets. PAWS has been in existence for 15 years. Since the new group reorganized the existing PAWS in 2007 we have spayed and neutered 366 privately owned pets. This does not include our fosters/adoptions or pets before 2007 when the Angels of Assisi mobile clinic used to come here.
PAWS needs your help to keep doing its work to help animals in Patrick County and arrest the unwanted pet population with our SNAP program. Without your support we will not be able to continue existing. Mail to PAWS, P.O. Box 743, Stuart, Va. 24171 or PAYPAL to paws_pres@yahoo.com,
Murphy Brown

Obamacare

The House of Representatives has passed a budget resolution that sets up instructions for the House Ways and Means Committee, the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the Senate Health and Education Committee and the Pensions Committee to write a budget reconciliation bill that fully repeals Obamacare.
Once the bills pass out of the respective committees they go to the Budget Committee. The Budget Committee then passes one unified repeal bill which the House and the Senate can pass with a simple majority and President Trump can sign into law.
Please ask your congressman and senator to vote “yes” on bills to repeal Obamacare.
