Voting underway in Chamber Championship

The race for the Chamber Championship has been set. The nominations have been tallied and now the voting begins.

Voting is now underway and open through February 12 in the following categories:

*Pit Crew Award – nominees are Wood Brothers Racing purchasing iPads for the nursing facility, Stuart United Methodist Church’s free Friday meals, and Patrick County Family Practice & Urgent Care.

*Simulator Award – nominees are Reynolds Homestead Holiday Craft Fair, The Coffee Break/PCMA Facebook concerts, and Front Porch Fest Variety Show.

*Bypass Pit Road Award for best curbside, drive thru or pick up – nominees include Moorefield Store Volunteer Fire Department’s Black pot chicken stew, Dehart Park Association’s drive thru meal and curbside service by El Rancho or Mattie B’s.

Event most missed:

*Wave Around award – nominations are the First Friday Summer Jam series, The Patrick County Agricultural Fair, or Front Porch Fest.

*The Tower award for best educational programing – nominations are Patrick County Public Schools, The Library for Lego and Storytime, Reynolds Homestead for Girls Lead Camp and Step Inc.

*Rain Delay award for the best spot to go hang out when regular programming was cancelled – nominees are the Mayo River Rail Trail, Fairy Stone State Park, county parks, Reynolds Homestead grounds, and Philpott Lake.
