The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, in the third-floor boardroom of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building.
Approval of the meeting agenda may be a topic of more debate than usual. The agenda, which was apparently approved by Dan River District Supervisor Roger Hayden, chairman, was e-mailed to The Enterprise Monday evening.
It does not include potential changes to emergency medical services (EMS), a paid ambulance service or a quick response vehicle (QRV), items that Blue Ridge District Supervisor Karl Weiss said he wanted on the agenda Monday.
Those items will be discussed at the Feb. 8 meeting, Weiss told The Enterprise.
Other items on the agenda include a public comment period, an audit presentation by Scott Wickham, and a report from Lisa Price Hughes, resident engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Hughes will report on the status of the county’s application for 50-50 revenue-sharing funds and a request for HB2 funds to install new guardrails on Rt. 8 north.
The board is expected to go into closed session to discuss personnel, legal, contract and real estate matters.
