William Blackard “Billy” Perry, 83, of Spencer, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Woltz Hospice Home. He was born on February 22, 1936 in Virginia to the late William Frank and Edna Blackard Perry.

Mr. Perry served in the United States Army in Germany and was a member of Old Well Christian Church. He was a saw miller, farmer, and retired from Sam Adkins Homebuilders. He loved to hunt, and spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Merriman Perry of the residence; sons, Jon (Marla) Perry, Stacy (Amy) Perry, and Jason (Hope) Perry; sister, Mary Ann King of Reno, Nev.; grandchildren, Sarah Perry, Taylor (Jason) Morris, Erin Perry, Nathan Perry, Andy Perry, Sadie Perry, Vance Perry, and Asher Perry all of Spencer.

A memorial service was held on Monday, March 18 at Norris Funeral Services with Steve Hayes and James Jordon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Old Well Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 163, Spencer, Va. 24165.
