The Reynolds Homestead recognized Linda Wilson as its March Volunteer of the Month. Originally from Huntington, West Virginia, Linda has called Patrick County home for the past 49 years. A retired educator, she has dedicated the last 18 years to serving as both a volunteer and docent at the Reynolds Homestead, sharing her knowledge and passion for local history with countless visitors. In 2016, she was honored as the Reynolds Homestead Volunteer of the Year.

Linda was first drawn to the homestead because of its rich history, and she continues to enjoy connecting with visitors from near and far. One of her favorite stories to share recalls the moment during General Stoneman’s raid when a Union soldier dropped his rifle in the dining room—a vivid piece of history that brings the past to life for guests.

When she’s not volunteering, Linda enjoys reading and has a deep passion for theater. We are incredibly grateful for her years of dedication, enthusiasm, and the warmth she brings to everyone she meets. Linda’s commitment continues to make a lasting impact on the Reynolds Homestead and the Patrick County community.
