Winning bands at Vesta 4th

The winning performers in the Vesta Fourth of July Celebration Music Competition have been announced.
In the category of old-time bands, Sugarloaf Mountain won first place, the Willow Shade Drifters placed second, and Fork Mountain placed third.
In the fiddle competition, winners were Mindy Decesar, first; Charlie Chaney, second; and Melvin Easter, third.
Charlie Chaney won first place in the mandolin (adult) category, with Elvin McMillian placing third.
In the guitar (adult) category, Melvin Easter won first place, Charlie Chaney placed second, and Jared Boyd placed third.
Charlie Chaney was the first-place winner in the banjo (adult) competition, followed by Charlie Hawks, second, and Jared Boyd, third.
Sue Nester won first place for adult vocals. Charlie Chaney took second place, and Pat Hiatt won third.
In the adult flatfooting category, Gary Andrews won first place, Waynnie Hopkins took second, and Stacie Boyd took third.
Abigail Bennett was the first-place winner in the children’s flatfooting competition.
