Create a ‘Winter Wonderland’ scene with Charles Hill.

Award-winning artist and instructor Charles Hill of Studio 107 in Martinsville will return to the Creative Arts Center in Stuart on Jan. 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. for a Fundamentals of Acrylics Painting class. Students will focus on the basics of picture composition and design, brush types and techniques, mixing paint and color theory, and using one’s own innate creativity to complete a Winter Wonderland landscape. The cost of the class is $35.

Each student will complete a winter landscape during the class, and will work for 1-1/2 hours with a break before completing their work. All materials will be provided to complete a 16” x 20” canvas, though if students have their own paints and brushes they would like to use, they are welcome to bring them.

In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held the following Sunday, Jan. 26.

To register, call the Reynolds Homestead at 276-694-7181.
