Nolan Joseph Poperowitz was selected to receive the DAR (Daughter’s of the American Revolution) Good Citizenship Award for Woolwine Elementary School. He is the son of Gray and Jill Friedrich and Frank Poperowitz.
Mrs. Jeannie King, principal of Woolwine Elementary, presented the award to Poperowitz during the seventh grade promotion ceremony held on May 29.
Poperowitz exhibits the qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service and patriotism which must be shown by the selected student that receives this award.
During the promotion ceremony, Poperowitz was also presented with the President’s Education Award for outstanding academic excellence, Principal’s List Award, Superintendent’s Award and the Physical Fitness Award. He is a member of the Junior Beta Club and the Challenge program.
