Woolwine Elementary School hosts beauty pageant

The Woolwine Elementary School ‘Sparke and Shine’ beauty pageant was held March 9.

It began with an introduction of the 2018 Teen Miss, Bethany Lynn Goode and escorts Blake Belcher, son of Curtis and Helen Belcher; Caine Haden, son of Shane and Sarah Haden; and Micheal Swick son of Peggy Younce.

The 2019 winners are Little Miss Woolwine Emmalyn Leigh Hubbard, daughter of James and Christina Hubbard; Young Miss Woolwine Kaylee Marie Belcher, daughter of Curtis and Helen Belcher; and Teen Miss Woolwine Kiley Brooke Martin, daughter of Jeff and Leslie Martin.

The pageant committee thanks pageant director, Verna R. Shepherd; judges, contestants, parents and the following sponsors: Woolwine Elementary School (Jeannie King/principal and staff), Bassett Furniture, Hopkins Lumber, Shelia Silver, Marilyn’s Florist, Wasaski Construction, Bassett Juvenile Division, and The Enterprise.

The 2020 pageant is scheduled to take place in the spring.
